La brutalità della guerra dentro ed intorno alla Striscia di Gaza è prova di quanto l'umanità avrebbe dovuto difendere la Pace come il primo dei beni necessari.

E' evidente che le immagini purtroppo spietate della verità della violenza commessa sui civili ed in particolare sui bambini palestinesi di Gaza non possa essere accettabile alle coscienze e di come non sia possibile 'voltarsi dall'altra parte' perché le urla di dolore ed il pianto ci inseguirebbero. Innanzi all'orrore non è importante valutare quale parte in conflitto sia più o meno colpevole o meritevole di sostegno: l'urgenza assoluta è quella di mettere in salvo i civili ed in particolare i bambini che invece le cifre indicano essere le vere vittime dei bombardamenti e dell'assedio che priva di cibo, acqua ed energia quasi due milioni di persone.

Se alla brutalità si risponde con la barbarie, se all'aggressione si risponde con il genocidio allora il terzo millennio inizia con l'evidenza di un'umanità in preda al più stupido militarismo nazionalista: questo è il ritorno dei fascismi e con essi dell'estinzione di massa per (auto)distruzione.

Come se non fosse evidente che la guerra di sterminio contro i poveri di Gaza sia un affare legato più al prezzo del petrolio ed alle esportazioni dei paesi (almeno formalmente) colpiti dall'embargo con le sanzioni internazionali che al terrorismo nazionalista di Hamas o di qualsivoglia sigla.

Ed allora le azioni delle diplomazie internazionali debbono concentrarsi sull'apertura dei valichi con l'Egitto e la formazione di corridoi umanitari privilegiati per consentire ai bambini di mettersi in salvo dalle bombe e dai veleni di sterminio come il fosforo bianco.

Il Presidente del Parlamento Internazionale per la Sicurezza e la Pace lancia un appello accorato per la documentazione e persecuzione dei crimini di guerra: la violazione della legge internazionale, delle convenzioni e dei diritti umani non deve lasciare nell'ombra dell'anonimato i responsabili.

The brutality of the war in and around the Gaza Strip is proof of how humanity should have defended Peace as the first of necessary goods.

It is clear that the unfortunately merciless images of the truth of the violence committed on civilians and in particular on Palestinian children in Gaza cannot be acceptable to consciences and that it is not possible to 'turn the other way' because the screams of pain and the crying they would chase us. In the face of horror, it is not important to evaluate which party in the conflict is more or less guilty or deserving of support: the absolute urgency is to save civilians and in particular children who, instead, the figures indicate are the real victims of the bombings and the siege that deprives nearly two million people of food, water and energy.

If brutality is responded to with barbarism, if aggression is responded to with genocide, then the third millennium begins with the evidence of a humanity prey to the stupidest nationalist militarism: this is the return of fascism and with it of mass extinction by (self)destruction.

As if it weren't obvious that the war of extermination against the poor of Gaza is an affair linked more to the price of oil and the exports of the countries (at least formally) affected by the embargo with international sanctions than to the nationalist terrorism of Hamas or any other theme song.

And then the actions of international diplomacy must focus on the opening of the crossings with Egypt and the formation of privileged humanitarian corridors to allow children to save themselves from bombs and exterminating poisons such as white phosphorus.

The President of the International Parliament for Security and Peace launches a heartfelt appeal for the documentation and prosecution of war crimes: the violation of international law, conventions and human rights must not leave those responsible in the shadow of anonymity.
