NON DIMENTICARE LA SIRIA: IL POPOLO SIRIANO SOFFRE PER LE FERITE INFLITTE DA 10 ANNI DI GUERRA!

In Siria la vita delle persone è sempre durissima: prima la guerra con le sue indicibile violenze e poi la fuga dalle proprie case distrutte per riparare nei campi di accoglienza che si sono trasformati di veri e propri campi profughi. La normalità nei campi è fatta di precarietà e di enormi difficoltà e disagi che colpiscono senza pietà soprattutto i più deboli: gli anziani ed bambini.

In questi giorni il maltempo ha battuto con violenza il nord-ovest della Siria mettendo a rischio la vita stessa delle persone esposte alle intemperie con unico riparo le tende!

Nel campo di Kafr Arrouq-Al Ami come altri campi profughi, migliaia di siriani vivono nell'incubo della devastazione metereologica: le tende sono state inondate e privandoli di ogni riparo. I campi profughi sono ridotti ad un'immensa distesa marrone di fango ed acqua gelida.

Lunedì scorso è stata la giornata più nera, oltre 41mila persone sono state colpite; a nord di Idlib, ad ovest di Aleppo.

Alcuni profughi sono scappati in scuole e moschee, altri hanno dormito all'addiaccio, sottozero, col vento forte che soffiava.

Questo colpo giunge dopo dieci anni di guerra ed in piena pandemia che aggrava la situazione: alcuni campi sono pressoché irraggiungibili a causa del maltempo senza possibilità di interventi da parte delle istituzioni.

Ad aggravare il contesto di questa crisi umanitaria si inserisce il crollo della economia siriana la cui moneta ha perso valore e spendibilità tanto che in alcune zone del paese si ricorre all'uso della lira turca come valuta di scambio.

La forte svalutazione della moneta siriana rende proibitivi gli approvvigionamenti.

Gli imperialismi che si sono sfidati in Siria hanno lasciato sul terreno non solo l'orrore dei morti ma anche tutta la devastazione della distruzione di ogni attività, di ogni dignità che possa dare un senso alle attività umane.

Il WPF denuncia questa situazione e prega le donne e gli uomini di buona volontà di diffondere questa notizia e promuovere l'attenzione dei media e dei social a questa situazione disperata: non possiamo voltarci dall'altra parte e non si può ignorare come l'ingiustizia della Guerra sia nemica della Pace non solo attraverso le armi ma anche e soprattutto con la discriminazione materiale della povertà e dell'abbandono.

Non si possono appoggiare politiche aggressive, non si possono ignorare le responsabilità imperialiste della miseria che oggi dilania il popolo siriano: il popolo, non il governo siriano sta pagando il conto di interessi materiali stranieri e non solo.

DON'T FORGET SYRIA: THE SYRIAN PEOPLE SUFFER FROM THE WOUNDS INFLICTED BY 10 YEARS OF WAR!

In Syria, people's lives are always very hard: first the war with its unspeakable violence and then the escape from their destroyed homes to take refuge in the refugee camps that have turned into real refugee camps. Normality in the camps is made up of precariousness and enormous difficulties and discomforts that mercilessly hit especially the weakest: the elderly and children.

In recent days the bad weather has violently beaten the north-west of Syria, putting the very lives of people exposed to the elements at risk with the only shelter the tents!

In the Kafr Arrouq-Al Ami camp like other refugee camps, thousands of Syrians live in the nightmare of meteorological devastation: the tents have been flooded and deprived them of any shelter. The refugee camps are reduced to an immense brown expanse of mud and freezing water.

Last Monday was the blackest day, over 41 thousand people were affected; north of Idlib, west of Aleppo.

Some refugees fled to schools and mosques, others slept in the open, below zero, with the strong wind blowing.

This blow comes after ten years of war and in full pandemic which aggravates the situation: some fields are almost unreachable due to bad weather without the possibility of intervention by the institutions.

To aggravate the context of this humanitarian crisis is the collapse of the Syrian economy whose currency has lost value and usability, so much so that in some areas of the country the use of the Turkish lira is used as an exchange currency.

The strong devaluation of the Syrian currency makes procurement prohibitive.

The imperialisms that challenged each other in Syria have left on the ground not only the horror of the dead but also all the devastation of the destruction of every activity, of every dignity that can give meaning to human activities.

The WPF denounces this situation and begs women and men of good will to spread this news and promote the attention of the media and social networks to this desperate situation: we cannot turn away and we cannot ignore how injustice is of War is the enemy of Peace not only through arms but also and above all with the material discrimination of poverty and abandonment.

Aggressive policies cannot be supported, the imperialist responsibilities of the misery that today tears the Syrian people cannot be ignored: the people, not the Syrian government, are paying the bill for foreign material interests and beyond.
