Amnesty International conferma che l’esercito e la polizia della Nigeria hanno ucciso almeno 12 dimostranti pacifici ieri in due luoghi di Lagos.

I dimostranti da settimane chiedono la fine della corruzione ed il ritorno alla legalità, incontrando solo la risposta violenta e brutale della polizia.

Nel suo intervento alla nazione il presidente nigeriano non ha, però, fatto alcun riferimento alle sparatorie sui gruppi di manifestanti che si sono verificate ieri sera. A riprova che la situazione sta uscendo dal controllo nella capitale commerciale del più popoloso stato africano, è giunta la notizia dell’attacco ad almeno due emittenti, Channels Television e Tvc, oscurate in seguito all’invasione delle rispettive sedi.

Ormai la brutalità ormai sotto gli occhi di tutti: sui social sono stati postati video della repressione di ieri sera, che hanno documentato manifestanti in fuga dopo che la polizia ha aperto il fuoco su cortei di centinaia di persone, scene da panico, feriti a terra e ambulanze bloccate.
