Verità per Giulio Regeni: la difesa dei diritti è anche memoria!

Giulio Regeni viene ricordato a 5 anni dal suo drammatico sequestro ed assassinio in Egitto perpetrato dopo giorni di tortura da parte dei servizi di sicurezza.
In memoria di Giulio Regeni vengono organizzati anche in Gran Bretagna eventi online ed in particolare presso l'Università di Cambridge, dove lo studente friulano svolgeva attività di ricerca.
Durante lo svolgimento della sua ricerca universitaria al Cairo è stato prelevato dai servizi di sicurezza egiziani, torturato ed ucciso: il suo caso diventa il simbolo della violazione dei diritti umani in Egitto.
La lotta contro la sistematica violazione dei diritti umani fondamentali è necessaria per la difesa di ogni cittadino dagli abusi del potere e dall'erosione delle tutele di una effettiva Giustizia Sociale.
Il WPF si unisce a tutti coloro che partecipano con la testimonianza e la memoria di quanto accaduto a Giulio Regeni perché si possa dire "Mai più".

Giulio Regeni is remembered 5 years after his dramatic kidnapping and murder in Egypt after days of torture by the security services.
In memory of Giulio Regeni, online events are also organized in Great Britain and in particular at the University of Cambridge, where the Friulian student carried out research activities.
During his university research in Cairo, he was taken by the Egyptian security services, tortured and killed: his case becomes the symbol of the violation of human rights in Egypt.
The fight against the systematic violation of fundamental human rights is necessary for the defense of every citizen from the abuses of power and from the erosion of the protections of an effective Social Justice.
The WPF joins all those who participate with the testimony and memory of what happened to Giulio Regeni so that we can say "Never again".
