Loujain è stata condannata per aver sostenuto il diritto delle donne a guidare l'auto!

Loujain al-Hathloul, attivista saudita per i diritti umani, è stata condannata da una corte anti terrorismo a cinque anni e otto mesi di carcere. Era accusata di "incitamento a cambiare le regole del Regno" e di aver lavorato "per introdurre un'agenda straniera" in Arabia Saudita. Nel 2018 è stata arrestate per aver violato norme sulla "sicurezza nazionale" perché anni prima aveva avviato una campagna contro il divieto di guida per le donne nel regno. Secondo l'accura avrebbe passato informazioni a Paesi nemici dell'Arabia Saudita e parlato con giornalisti e diplomatici, candidandosi per un impiego presso le Nazioni Unite.

E' stata rinchiusa in carcere e sottoposta a tortura, elettroshock, frustate ed abusi di ogni genere.

Per denunciare le severe restrizioni a lei imposte, nell'ottobre 2020 ha iniziato uno sciopero della fame ed ora la condanna alla durissima pena detentiva di 5 anni ed otto mesi.

Il caso di Luojain va denunciato all'opinione pubblica perché l'attenzione sulla sua sorte non venga mai meno: le nostre voci, i nostri post possono salvarla da abusi ancora più crudeli.

Il WPF sostiene i diritti fondamentali e lotta per la Pace che non può essere vera se disgiunta dalla Giustizia.

Loujain al-Hathloul, a Saudi human rights activist, was sentenced by an anti-terrorism court to five years and eight months in prison. She was accused of "inciting to change the rules of the Kingdom" and of having worked "to introduce a foreign agenda" in Saudi Arabia. In 2018 she was arrested for violating "national security" rules because years earlier she had launched a campaign against a ban on women driving in the kingdom. She was locked up in prison and subjected to torture, electroshock, whipping and abuse of all kinds.

To denounce the severe restrictions imposed on her, in October 2020 she started a hunger strike and now the sentence to the harsh prison sentence of 5 years and eight months.
