È stato ucciso mentre scendeva dalla sua auto al rientro a casa dal lavoro.

L'assassinio del giornalista greco Giorgos Karaivaz è avvenuto nel sobborgo ateniese di Alimos. La ricostruzione fin qui realizzata riferisce il crimine a due uomini a bordo di una motocicletta che si sono avvicinati al cronista esplodendo almeno dieci colpi d’arma da fuoco che lo hanno ucciso sul colpo.

Giorgios Karaivaz è da anni un noto giornalista investigativo ed in questo ultimo periodo era impiegato presso la televisione privata greca Star TV,

Sposato e padre di un figlio, Karaivaz, è il fondatore del portale d’informazione "Bloko.gr". Come si vede dal suo profilo Facebook, molti degli ultimi articoli su cui stava lavorando erano relativi a delicate indagini sulla polizia greca.

Evidentemente le sue inchieste erano molto vicine a sconcertanti verità e qualcuno ha fatto tacere con il piombo delle pistole la voce della verità.

Chi dice la Verità rischia la sua vita troppo spesso da solo contro il crimine che è sempre organizzato e violento.

The assassination of the Greek journalist Giorgos Karaivaz took place in the Athenian suburb of Alimos. The reconstruction carried out so far relates the crime to two men aboard a motorcycle who approached the reporter exploding at least ten gunshots that killed him instantly.

Giorgios Karaivaz has been a well-known investigative journalist for years and in this last period he was employed at the Greek private television Star TV,

Married and father of a son, Karaivaz, he is the founder of the information portal "Bloko.gr". As can be seen from his Facebook profile, many of the latest articles he was working on were related to sensitive investigations into the Greek police.

Evidently his inquiries were very close to disconcerting truths and someone silenced the voice of truth with the lead of their pistols.

Whoever tells the truth risks his life too often alone against the crime that is always organized and violent.
